SEMINOLE COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IS RESPONDING TO COVID-19
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HYBRID IN-PERSON AND ONLINE MEETINGS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE
The State of Florida has allocated $82 million to Seminole County in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funds, which are intended to address the economic consequences due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners has approved Seminole CARES, a comprehensive relief package supporting County businesses, residents, not-for-profits, and local government entities.
The County Commission has allocated $14 million towards Seminole CARES Small Business Grants, $19 million towards Seminole CARES Individual Grants, and up to $3 million towards Seminole CARES Not-For-Profit Grants.
Due to a significant response, the Seminole CARES Individual Assistance Portal has been suspended as of Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:59PM
This suspension allows for the review of those applications that are currently submitted. The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners remains committed to assisting all qualifying applicants and, if funding is not exhausted, the Seminole CARES Individual Assistance Portal will reopen for new applications.
